Welcome to our community. My name is Joanna and I founded SKINLAB.

As I write this, I’m 41 years old, but if I don’t update it later, I was born in 1983. At one point, I dreamed of becoming an archaeologist, then a police officer with Interpol, and eventually, I was certain I’d be a lawyer. A lucky fate and the vigilance of my parents led me to become a cosmetologist. In 2002 I left my hometown in Podkarpacie and went to study in Poznań. The wide range of medical subjects deepened my curiosity and passion for life and the human body. At university, we studied anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, genetics, pharmacology, dermatology in the hospital, and many other subjects—some more interesting than others—that kept knowledge-hungry students satisfied. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I continued on to pursue a master’s in health promotion. I definitely expanded my knowledge in a well-rounded way there. I have always loved learning about everything related to life on this planet, and I still do. My greatest passion has always been exploring the world, and luckily, my parents noticed it when I was just a child. Our body is made up of interacting molecules. It’s physics, biology, physiology, and chemistry. It is an amazing, personalized combination of various factors. It’s all fascinating and beautiful. All of this has an impact on our health, including the health of our skin.
When I started SKINLAB in 2017, my main goal was to share my passion for skincare—something I’ve loved and practiced for years. Today, I want to show you how you can easily improve your health, including your skin, which is your body’s largest organ. Your skin is responsible for a number of very important functions, including protecting you from the outside world.

In my free time I read, do nothing, work or travel. I love escaping into nature, music, and all the beauty the world has to offer. I love swimming and yoga. I enjoy Pilates and dancing, but only freestyle, my own way. I am a vegetarian, and I also like to cook my own way, eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. 

I am a cosmetologist and health promoter by profession. I have many years of experience as a lecturer and practitioner of cosmetology. I am a personal shopper and examiner of the cosmetology profession at the Central Examination Board approved by the Ministry of National Education. I gained additional professional experience related to cosmetics, among others, working at OCEANIC as a brand manager for professional cosmetics, creating cosmetics and treatment procedures from scratch.
